For as long as I could remember, women have been borrowing their boyfriend’s sweatshirts. Recently, I was shopping with my fiance and we were perusing the men’s section at Saks Off 5th and even though I was supposed to be helping him, I kept finding stuff that I wanted. Ultimately I ended up purchasing the most amazing faux white leather bomber jacket and my fiance ended up buying me a t-shirt. [Read more…]
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!!! Unfortunately, the holiday fun comes with a price and that price is cold weather. But dressing for winter can be fun if you have the right coat(s). I’ve been living in this one by Free People [Read more…]
It’s that time of year again! Fall is my favorite time of year for so many reasons: booties, sweater weather, pumpkin spice everything (basic bish and proud), and most importantly…my birthday! My birthday is in exactly one week, so I always think it’s fun to put together a birthday wish list..ya know, in case any of you are tempted to buy me something.
I’m so excited to talk to you guys today about some of my favorite fall shoe trends partnering with one of my all time favorite shoe stores: Lori’s Shoes! As you may know, and even if you don’t you can probably tell by my blog’s name, I have a serious shoe addiction. There are so many fun options out there and they can really make an entire outfit. Before I even moved to Chicago, I stumbled across Lori’s Shoes one day in Lincoln Park when I was visiting and have been a loyal customer ever since. They have every trend you can think of, at different price points but one thing all their shoes have in common is quality.
I’ve talked to you guys about it before, but one area that I don’t mind investing in is shoes. The older I get, the more support I need and I can’t stress enough how important it is to invest in a good quality shoe for that.
One of my favorite time of the year is here, and that’s the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!! For cardholders, you can get early access now through July 20th and for everyone else the sale starts July 21st and runs through August 6th. I sifted through over 3000 pieces of merchandise and chose what I think are the best, and most affordable pieces. This wasn’t easy, so you can thank me later. Shop my favorite pieces below!
Since it’s the 4th of July and I know everyone is busy with friends and family, I wanted to keep this post short and to the point. With summer in full swing, I wanted to share some of my favorite slides with you! They’ve become my summer go-to shoe preference and I’m especially loving the frill and bow details. They go with everything and can be used as a statement piece for most outfits. Most of these are under $35! Keep scrolling to see some of my faves. I’ve also included some promo links at the bottom for Asos and Forever21!

Kimonos have become one of my new favorite staples for summer. I love them for so many reasons: they’re comfortable, they’re flattering, and if you ate a little too much at brunch they hide the muffin top quite well. [Read more…]
Summer is officially upon us, and this year I am so obsessed with one piece swimsuits. In the past, if you were a woman in your 20’s and 30’s you had to be wearing a two piece to be considered trendy. I personally am what I’ll call “top heavy” and pretty modest, so one pieces just make me feel more confident and secure and now they’re back and on the rise! What I absolutely love about them is how good they look on EVERYONE!
The problem with swimsuits is they can be rough on the wallet. I’ve recently done some research as to why swimsuits are SO expensive (I mean you’re covering my t***s and a** so why are you charging me an arm and a leg?) and came to some interesting conclusions:
Summer and festival season pretty much go hand in hand and that time is officially upon us!
It started with Coachella but then you have so many other great music festivals throughout summer: Vans Warped Tour, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza Austin City Limits and more. While these events are no doubt all about music, they’ve become quite the fashion scene.
I put together an outfit that has a very boho type vibe that would be perfect for a music festival. For a lot of these festivals, it’s a great idea to dress in layers. It’s usually pretty hot during the day and sometimes gets chilly at night. I’ve linked some of my favorite boho/festival style items below.
Goodbye, winter. Hello, spring! With spring comes sunshine, and with sunshine comes sunglasses! I’ve got a serious sunglasses addiction and can’t seem to have enough. One of my favorite trends of the moment are geometric sunglasses and I wanted to share some of my faves from Amazon with you all. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
